The game “Light of Motiram,” which has been referred to as “Horizon Zero Originality” since its announcement, would soon be available on iOS, Android, and PlayStation 5, according to media reports.

The development comes days after an unofficial fan-made remaster of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, titled “Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Nextgen Edition,” was reported to be in its final stages of development.

Tencent’s development studio, Polaris Quest, said it through PlayStation’s Chinese social media platforms, including Weibo and Bilibili. They also announced that a beta version would be available for mobile devices, with promises of further collaborations with PlayStation in the future.

In addition to the platform announcements, Polaris Quest released a new trailer along with 16 minutes of gameplay footage. The trailer features a young tribe member awakening in a vibrant world filled with mechanical creatures. Players would see her interacting with other tribe members, using a glider to traverse the landscape, and exploring various areas with a torch.

The gameplay footage provides insight into the game’s crafting mechanics, beginning with a young tribeswoman building a basic shelter that evolves throughout the video. But many viewers have noted the striking resemblance the game bears to Guerrilla Games’ Horizon series.

One commenter on Reddit expressed skepticism, stating, “I typically give games the benefit of the doubt, but this looks like it’s intentionally ripping off Horizon.”

Another user pointed out that while many games may draw inspiration from others, “this is just straight-up copying.”
