JIT finds major PTI leaders to be guilty in May 9 case

The court has summoned all accused to present their final arguments

Joint Investigation Teams (JITs) have completed their investigations into the May 9 arson and violence cases, concluding that all accused, including prominent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Fawad Chaudhry, Aleema Khan, and Uzma Khan, are guilty, according to reports.

The reports, submitted to the court, detail the findings of the investigations into the widespread violence and property damage that followed the arrest of Imran Khan on May 9th. The court has summoned all accused to present their final arguments.

Meanwhile, the court extended the interim bail for all accused until December 7.

Additionally, the court granted a one-day exemption from appearance to Alima Khan and Uzma Khan. The hearing was presided over by ATC Judge Arshad Javed. The judge indicated that this one-day exemption is the final such concession.

During the hearing, the prosecution explained that several of the accused had cases pending in courts in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Fawad Chaudhry, along with other accused including Ms. Muzammil Masood Bhatti, appeared before the court.

The next step will be the presentation of final arguments by the defense.
