Severe flooding hits Saudi Arabian cities including Makkah
Saudi Arabia is currently facing severe flooding due to heavy rains. Makkah, including the Grand Mosque, has been significantly affected, with roads submerged and daily life disrupted for residents and visitors.
According to foreign media reports, heavy rainfall has caused flooding in several cities across Saudi Arabia, with streets completely filled with water. The city of Makkah has been hit hardest, where sudden flooding has thrown everyday life into chaos.
Reports indicate that torrential rain has accumulated around the Kaaba. The intense rainfall, which began on October 27, has overwhelmed the city’s drainage system.
Videos of the heavy rain in Makkah have been shared on social media. On October 27, Hussein Al-Qahtani from the National Center of Meteorology warned that areas such as Hail, Qassim, Asir, and Jizan would experience the heaviest rainfall.
