The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have reached a partial agreement on judicial reforms, following a late-night meeting at Jati Umra, the residence of Nawaz Sharif in Lahore.

The meeting, which took place after a dinner hosted by Nawaz Sharif, focused on the 26th Constitutional Amendment.

Addressing the media after the meeting, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, the JUI-F chief, stated that an initial draft had been rejected and would continue to be rejected. However, he also announced that he would be speaking with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership to incorporate their suggestions into the constitutional amendment.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the PPP chairman, confirmed that the PML-N had agreed to the draft proposed by the PPP and JUI-F regarding judicial reforms. He expressed confidence that the constitutional amendment would be passed by both houses of parliament.
