US delegation meets COAS, expresses confidence in mineral development policy
A high-level United States delegation met with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir, during a visit that underscored growing bilateral cooperation and confidence in Pakistan’s investment climate and natural resource development.
According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the US delegation was led by Eric Meyer, Senior Bureau Official for South and Central Asian Affairs at the US Department of State.
During the meeting, the delegation expressed strong confidence in Pakistan’s policy aimed at developing its vast mineral wealth. The US officials also appreciated the country’s gradually improving investment environment.
The meeting provided both sides with an opportunity to exchange views on global developments and to discuss Pakistan’s regional security requirements.
Both parties reaffirmed their confidence in the positive trajectory of bilateral relations. They also agreed on the need to expand existing government-to-government and people-to-people cooperation.
This engagement marks another step toward strengthening strategic ties between Pakistan and the United States amid evolving regional and global dynamics.
