Woman arrested for kidnapping victims under marriage pretense in Sindh
Authorities in Sindh have apprehended a woman accused of luring individuals into marriage traps as part of a kidnapping scam.
Tania Rano, who is reportedly married to a gang member named Badeel Shar, was arrested in the Katcha area while working with a group of dacoits.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Aneel Haider, Tania’s role involved enticing victims through video calls, convincing them to meet her under the false promise of marriage.
Once the victims were lured in, she would transport them to the gang’s hideouts in Kashmore and Ghotki.
The police revealed that Tania had received a SIM card from the gang via a courier service to facilitate their operations.
Initially affiliated with one gang, she was later approached by another group of dacoits who offered her a share of the spoils for her assistance.
