Simultaneous adhan announced for Mecca and Medina
Meteorologist Dr. Abdullah Al-Mosnad has stated that the calls to prayer (adhan) for Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha in Mecca and Medina will be given simultaneously.
According to the Sabq website, due to seasonal changes, the prayer times in both cities will align, on Thursday and Friday.
He mentioned that “for several days after Friday, the Maghrib and Isha prayers will be called simultaneously in both holy cities.”
He added that after the seasonal changes, the call to prayer times in Mecca and Medina will revert to their usual schedule.

Typically, the adhan in Mecca and Medina is announced with a difference of about 10 minutes.
