Raoof Hassan likely to be removed as PTI information secretary
Raoof Hassan may be removed from his position as the PTI information secretary and party founder Imran Khan has given the nod to the decision, sources said on Saturday.
Concerns about Raoof Hassan have reportedly been raised by some party leaders, leading to this potential change. Sheikh Waqas Akram is currently the leading candidate for the role of the new information secretary.
The development comes after the party accepted PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub’s resignation.
Earlier in the day, Ayub wrote in a social media post that Khan accepted his September 4 resignation letter
“I had requested Senator Shibli Faraz sahib Opposition Leader Senate and Chief of Staff to convey my resignation as Secretary General PTI during his meeting with PM Imran Khan sahib on Thursday,” he said.
“Holding the offices of Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Secretary General PTI, pursuing my legal battles and looking after the issues of the constituency I represent in the National Assembly are all taken together a tremendous workload,” Ayub stated and added that he would continue to work as a PTI worker.

In the recent past, some PTI leaders have admitted that they have not been able to ensure former prime minister Khan’s release.
In an interview with News Insight with Amir Zia earlier this week, PTI lawmaker Sher Afzal Marwat admitted that the PTI has been late in such anti-government protests because of the party founder’s trial in court and different cases.
