Adil Murad voices concerns over potential biopic of father Waheed Murad

He expressed worries about authenticity of by actor playing his father’s character

The son of the iconic Pakistani actor Waheed Murad, Adil Murad, has expressed concerns about the idea of a biopic focused on his father.

In a recent interview, Adil reminisced about his father’s impressive legacy but firmly opposed the concept of a film about Waheed Murad’s life.

“At the end of the day, someone has to portray him on the screen. Will we be able to accept anyone on the screen as him? Or can he justify himself as Waheed Murad on the screen?” Adil questioned.

He expressed worries about the authenticity and effectiveness of any actor trying to capture his father’s distinctive presence.

Adil emphasized that his father’s charisma, style, and emotive acting are essential to his legacy qualities he feels cannot be duplicated.

He highlighted that maintaining his father’s name, fame, and reputation holds more importance for him and his family.

“His name and legacy matter more to us than any financial gains that may come from films or biopics,” he remarked.
