Salma Murad, wife of Waheed Murad, passes away
Salma Murad, wife of Pakistan’s Chocolate Hero Waheed Murad, passed away in Karachi on Friday. Salmi Murad was sick for a long time. She is survived by two children, daughter Alia Murad and son Adil Murad.
Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP), Karachi President Ahmed Shah confirmed the news of her death and said that Salma was an old member of the (ACP).
He expressed his heartfelt sympathy to Salma and her family. “Salma Murad was a very sophisticated woman,” Shah said who used to meet Salma often in literary fairs.
The funeral prayer of the deceased will be offered on Saturday (tomorrow) in Karachi after his son Adil Murad arrives in Pakistan.
In her inteview with Late Night with Begum Nawazish Ali of Aaj News, she spoke about her life and life after the death of Waheed.
She was associated with an NGO and also served as the Pakistan Muslim League President for Karachi Division. Salma said that she had a “fantastic mental equation with Waheed”.
