Heavy monsoon is leaving it’s mark in Karachi, with intermittent rains affecting various areas overnight.

The affected areas include Old City, Tower, MA Jinnah Road, Saddar, Gurumandir, Gulistan-e-Johar, Jail Chowrangi, Liaquatabad, Karimabad, Safoora Goth, North Karachi, and Nazimabad.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain of moderate to heavy intensity is expected to continue throughout the day on Wednesday.

The rainfall has led to water accumulation on roads in some areas of Karachi. The Meteorological Department has warned of an increase in rainfall intensity today.

Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz stated that due to a severe depression, stormy winds along with rain are anticipated. He also advised fishermen to refrain from going out to sea.

Additionally, rainfall has been reported in other districts of Sindh, including Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Matiari, Badin, Golarchi, and Thatta, with water pooling in low-lying areas.
