PM Shehbaz concludes Saudi visit, departs for Pakistan

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday left for home from Madinah after concluding his visit to Saudi Arabia.

At Madinah Airport, he was seen off by the Governor of Madinah, Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

During his visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan signed the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, marking a new phase in defence cooperation and fraternal ties among the three countries.

The prime minister also performed Umrah during his visit and offered prayers at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi accompanied Shehbaz during the visit.
