Respite from heat as intermittent rain lashes Karachi
Heavy and intermittent rain showers have been occurring across various neighborhoods of Karachi since Wednesday night, providing relief from the intense heat and humidity.
Areas such as II Chundrigar Road, Saddar, Liaquatabad, MA Jinnah Road, and surrounding regions have experienced rainfall, while heavier downpours were recorded in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Federal B Area, Liaquatabad, Karimabad, and North Naz imabad.
The spell of light to heavy rains has continued throughout the night and is still ongoing, stretching from University Road to Tower and Orangi Town to Gulistan-e-Hadeed.
The rainfall has led to the accumulation of water on the roads, and power outages have been reported in multiple areas of the city.

The federal capital Islamabad, as well as various cities in Punjab, are also experiencing a continued spell of monsoon showers.
The cool winds and overcast skies have made the weather pleasant, with some areas receiving light rain and others experiencing heavier downpours.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast the continuation of intense monsoon rains across the country from today until August 6.
