Thousands of people have reportedly signed the World’s Platform for Change a Change.org petition, accusing Australian breakdancer Rachael Gunn and Australian Olympic Committee’s (AOC) Anna Meares of “unethical behaviour”.

In a letter addressed to Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and the AOC, signatories have accused Raygun of manipulating the Olympic selection process for her own benefit.

According to a Us Weekly report, critics have claimed that she set up her own governing body for breakdance and overlooked other qualified breakdancers.

The letter also included unverified allegations that Raygun denied funding to a group of underprivileged youth and defeated “phenomenal breakdancers” to win her qualifier.

The petition and letter suggested that Raygun allegedly used her position and influence to unfairly advance her interests in the Olympic selection process, at the expense of other deserving breakdancers.

People who have signed the petition asked for a full investigation into the alleged unethical behaviour of Gunn and Meares.

The signatories are demanding that Raygun issue a public apology for “attempting to gaslight the public and undermining the efforts of genuine athletes.” They are also calling for a “global public apology to the breaking community for the unethical behaviour that has tainted this sport.”

“Australia must do better by its athletes and ensure that the principles of fairness, transparency, and integrity are upheld in all aspects of Olympic selection,” said the letter.
