Raoof Hasan granted post-arrest bail in PECA case
The district and sessions courts granted on Thursday post-arrest bail to PTI leader Raoof Hasan and others in a case filed under the PECA Act.
The court approved bail bonds of Rs. 50,000 each. The reserved judgment was announced by Duty Magistrate Abbas Shah.
In the previous hearing, the Islamabad District and Sessions Court had rejected the request for further physical remand of Rauf Hasan, the PTI Information Secretary, and other accused under the PECA Act, and had sent them to judicial remand in jail.
Hasan and other accused were produced before the court of Judicial Magistrate Shabeer Bhatti after the physical remand.

In the same case, the Islamabad District and Sessions Court had earlier granted post-arrest bail to PTI social media activist Arooba Kamal.
Despite being granted bail in the case registered under the PECA Act, Hasan’s release would not be possible on Thursday. This is because Hasan is currently in the custody of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on a two-day remand ordered by the Anti-Terrorism Court.
