A terrorist attack on Bannu Cantt was foiled by security forces on Monday. No loss of life has been reported in the incident so far.

According to sources, the terrorists approached the Cantt at 4:40 am on Monday in a car with an improvised explosive device rigged to it.

The terrorists tried to breach the Cantt’s through the IED explosion targeting the area between the outer wall and the supply depot.

However, timely response from the securtiy forces foiled the attack and cornered the terrorists.

A clearance operation is now underway.

Earlier reports had said that a massive explosion had been heard near Bannu Cantt followed by intense gunfire.
