CTD arrests senior TTP leader Hidayatullah in Karachi operation
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Karachi conducted an operation in the Site area and arrested a Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorist Hidayatullah.
According to the CTD spokesperson, the arrested terrorist Hidayatullah, also known as Maulana Abdul Hakim, is responsible for the educational affairs of TTP in Swat and Karachi. He was apprehended while collecting funds for the proscribed TTP organization.
The spokesperson stated that the terrorist’s father, Mohammad Ghaus, was killed in Afghanistan in the year 2000. The terrorist’s brother, Kifayatullah, was a close associate of TTP Swat leader Maulvi Fazlullah, and has been missing since the Swat operation.
Additionally, the CTD arrested two terrorists belonging to the banned TTP Hafiz Gul Bahadur group in the Sohrab Goth area of Karachi.
According to the CTD DIG Asif Ejaz Sheikh, the arrested individuals were associated with the proscribed Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan Hafiz Gul Bahadur group.
