Asian Taekwondo champion goes msising in Lahore
Muhammad Hamas, a national and Asian Taekwondo champion, has been missing for a week, prompting his family to file a kidnapping case with the Nawab Town police station in Lahore.
Hamas’ father, Muhammad Zareef, reported that his son received a call from an unknown person. After the call, Hamas went to gate number two of his university, where he was reportedly taken away by several individuals in a white car.
Zareef has appealed to the police to take immediate action to locate his son and alleviate the family’s distress.
Hamas, a resident of Dinpur, Dera Ismail Khan, has a long history of success in Taekwondo, having won multiple national titles in both junior and senior categories.
Most recently, on November 2nd, 2023, Hamas secured a gold medal in the 48kg category at the Comebacks Asian Open International Taekwondo Championship, defeating fellow Pakistani competitor Salman Khan in the final.
The family is urging authorities to investigate the case thoroughly and ensure Hamas’ safe return.
