Woman, daughter rescued from walled up room

A property dispute led to a woman and her young daughter being allegedly entombed within a wall by their relatives in Hyderabad, Sindh.

The residents of the area called the police who broke down the wall and rescued the mother and daughter.

The incident occurred in the Latifabad No. 5 area of Hyderabad, where the victim’s brother-in-law Sohail and his sons allegedly walled the woman and daughter.

In her statement, the affected woman accused her brother-in-law of harassment and claimed that he had forcibly taken possession of important documents related to their house.

Commenting on the incident, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Hyderabad, Farukh Lanjar, stated that an investigation has been launched, and the suspects will be apprehended at the earliest.
