American supermodel sisters Bella and Gigi Hadid have announced a $1 million donation to support Palestinian relief efforts, BBC reported.

The Hadid sisters, who are of Palestinian descent, have repeatedly condemned Israel’s aggression in Gaza and have now channeled their resources to aid organisations working on the ground to help children and families affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

The $1 million donation will be equally distributed among four key organizations: Heal Palestine, Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, World Central Kitchen, and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency. These groups are at the forefront of providing essential services such as food, medical aid, psychological support, and assistance for displaced families amidst the relentless Israeli attacks in Gaza.

Bella and Gigi Hadid, the daughters of Palestinian property tycoon Mohamed Anwar Hadid, have been outspoken advocates for the Palestinian cause.

In a recent Instagram post, Bella expressed her heartbreak over the “devastating loss of the Palestinian people and the lack of empathy from government systems worldwide.”

The sisters’ commitment to the Palestinian people was further demonstrated when Bella attended the Cannes Film Festival wearing a dress made from a keffiyeh, a traditional Arabic cloth associated with Palestinian culture. She described the dress as “a beautiful way to represent the history, labour of love, resilience, and, most importantly, the art of historic Palestinian embroidery.”
