The Sui Southern Gas Company has removed more than 260 illegal domestic gas connections in different cities of Balochistan.

In Quetta, Pishin, Ziarat, and Mastung, the SSGC’s theft control teams dismantled a total of 210 illegal domestic gas connections, both underground and overhead.

In most cases, the residents had illicitly extended the gas connections, which were then promptly removed during swift intervention raids by the company.

The SSGC teams also removed more than 20 fake gas metres from the residential areas of Quetta, Pishin, Ziarat, and Mastung.

The raiding teams also cut off service lines to prevent any further unauthorised gas usage.

In the North Karachi area, SSGC’s Customer Relations Department theft control team removed 36 illegal gas connections that had been installed by residents through direct, unauthorised lines.

The SSGC conducted raids on houses involved in overhead gas theft in Nawabshah. As a result, the theft control teams removed more than 15 illegal gas connections.

They also confiscated equipment used for gas pilferage, such as theft clamps and rubber pipes.
