Jayson Tatum has continued his dominant postseason performance, leading the Boston Celtics to the NBA Finals while putting up historic numbers.

The superstar forward has averaged 26.0 points, 10.4 rebounds and 5.9 assists through 14 playoff games this year, joining an exclusive group of players to lead their team in all three major statistical categories during a single playoff run.

Tatum is now one of only five players to accomplish this feat, alongside LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, Tim Duncan and Jason Kidd. This impressive stat line has Tatum in rarified air, with three of the previous four players in this group - James, Jokic and Duncan - going on to win NBA championships in those seasons.

The Celtics have breezed through the playoffs so far, sweeping the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals. Tatum will now have a chance to capture his first NBA title, as Boston prepares to face off against the Western Conference champion in the Finals.

“Jayson has taken his game to another level this postseason,” said Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla. “To be leading us in scoring, rebounding and assists is a testament to his all-around skill and leadership. We’re excited to see him compete for a championship.”

Tatum will look to join the likes of LeBron James and Nikola Jokic as players who were able to cap off a historically dominant playoff run by winning the NBA title. Celtics fans are hopeful that their young superstar can deliver the franchise’s 18th championship this June.
