Broken-down vehicle looted on Motorway

Dhamyal Police Station has registered a case based on the complaint of Highway Police Officer Tariq Iqbal regarding an incident where armed robbers looted three individuals in a stranded vehicle, escaping with Rs. 317,000 and three mobile phones.

The incident took place near Motorway Islamabad Toll Plaza, where a robbery was reported from a broken-down vehicle. The robbers held the occupants at gunpoint, stealing Rs. 317,000 and three mobile phones.

The case was registered at Dhamyal Police Station on the complaint of Patrol Officer Tariq Iqbal from the Motorway Police.

According to the statement provided in the case report, a civilian named Timur Sultan was traveling to Lahore with two companions when their vehicle broke down. While waiting on the side of the road, two armed robbers approached them. The robbers, at gunpoint, robbed the three occupants of their cash and mobile phones.

The affected individual stated that the robbers suddenly appeared, and with the weapon pointed at them, they took away three mobile phones and Rs. 317,000 from all three individuals.

Additionally, the case report mentioned that the robbers also took the vehicle’s registration book, the occupants’ identity cards, and four ATM cards. Instead of allowing the victims to proceed to Lahore, the robbers instructed them to walk to Toll Plaza.

The police have initiated an investigation into the incident and are working to apprehend the culprits involved in the armed robbery.
