Governor appointments: Sardar Saleem Haider nominated in Punjab, Kundi in KP
**Pakistan Peoples Party leader Sardar Saleem Haider Khan is set to be made the new governor of Punjab. The party has also nominated Faisal Karim Kundi as the new governor in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Meanwhile, Jafar mandokhail has been nominated for the governor slot in Balochistan. **
According to sources, President Asif Zardari will issue the notification of the appointment on Friday night.
Speaking to Aaj News, Khan confirmed that his name has been finalised for the name of governor.
The PPP leader served as a member of the National Assembly from 2008 to 2013 and served as a minister in the cabinets of both Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and Yousaf Raza Gillani.

He also served as a Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis during the previous government.
On the other hand, PPP leader Faisal Karim Kundi has been nominated for the post of governor in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Kundi was elected as an MNA from Dera Ismail Khan in 2008 and served as deputy speaker of the National Assembly till 2013.
PMLN has nominated Jafar Mandokhail as the next governor in Balochistan.
Mandokhail has been the party;s provincial president since 2023. He revealed that Nawaz Sharif had personally reached out to him to announce his nomination for the post of governor.
