Sri Lanka extends visa-free entry for seven countries
The Sri Lankan government has announced an extension of the visa-free entry scheme for nationals of seven countries until the end of May, VisaGuide reported. The scheme, initially introduced in August 2023, was set to expire on November 30, 2023.
The extension applies to citizens of India, China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
The scheme is valid for all types of passports, including ordinary, official, and diplomatic passports.
The 30-day visa-free stay can be extended for an additional 30 days upon application to the Department of Immigration and Emigration.

Visitors are required to have a valid passport and a return ticket and have sufficient funds to cover their expenses during their stay in Sri Lanka.
Nationals can enter Sri Lanka for a maximum stay of 30 days without requiring a visa.
