The Awami National Party (ANP) has announced that it will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr along with the broader Muslim world, regardless of the official moon-sighting announcement in Pakistan. ANP Central President Aimal Wali Khan extended Eid greetings to all Muslims and conveyed special prayers for the oppressed people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Aimal Wali Khan stated that, like the fasting days of Ramadan, Eid would also be observed in unison with the global Muslim community. He appealed to the public to celebrate Eid with simplicity and avoid large public gatherings in light of the prevailing situation.

The ANP leader further said that no Eid greetings or public meetings will be held at Wali Bagh this year, emphasizing the need for precaution and prioritizing public safety.

He also urged people to share their happiness with the underprivileged and allocate a portion of their resources for the needy. “Let us ensure that everyone can be part of Eid festivities,” he added.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is scheduled to meet today in Islamabad to sight the Shawwal moon. According to the Meteorological Department, the new moon was born at 3:58 pm today, and there is a strong possibility of Eid-ul-Fitr being observed nationwide on Monday, March 31.
