Pakistani teen Muhammad Abdullah, aged 17, who has been missing since April 14 in Sharjah is yet to be found. The search for Abdullah has been hampered by recent floods in the UAE.

Sharjah Police told Gulf News on Thursday that Abdullah’s family filed a missing report, and a search has been ongoing since.

The family is seeking help to find the twin boy, as he was sent to a furniture market in Abu Shagara to fetch a carpenter.

The teen left the house around 4:15 p.m. but did not return home, according to a report

“When he was late to come back, I went to the furniture market to look for him. But I couldn’t find him. When I showed his picture, people said they didn’t see him,” the family said.

The CCTV footage showed Abdullah walking towards the market. However, there was no footage of him in the market itself.

In the footage, Abdullah was wearing a black full-sleeve sweatshirt and grey jeans.

“He took his wallet, and he only had some money with him,” his father stated, adding that the boy did not carry a phone with him.

Ali focused on the problems caused by the recent floods that are hindering their search for Abdullah.

“The flooded streets have hindered our efforts. Today I had to walk to the police station just to get updates. I left home at 5:30 am, right after morning prayers,” he said.

He shared that his family had been devastated to learn that the son went missing.

“We’re all missing him dearly. My wife, Ayesha, has barely eaten and is constantly crying and praying for his safe return,” Ali said.

The police have urged people to come forward if they have any information.

Ali stated that he runs a used car business and has four children, including the missing teen.
