Pakistan Peoples Party has nominated Sarfaraz Bugti as its candidate for the post of Balochistan’s chief minister.

Bugti was elected to the Balochistan Assembly from PB-10 and had resigned as a member of the Senate three days ago.

He was also part of the caretaker cabinet as the federal minister for interior but left his post with just over a month left in the elections.

Bugti has also served as the provincial interior minister in the previous government.

PPP is the largest party in the Blochistan Assembly with 11 seats, followed by Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz with 10 seats.
