In pictures: Pakistanis vote to decide future

More than 128 million is the number of registered voters

Tens of millions of Pakistanis are heading to polling stations on Thursday to cast their vote amid soaring inflation and a surge in terrorist activities.

There were reports of delays in voting process in some constituencies. Moreover, sounds of loud blasts were heard in several cities of Balochistan.

Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja has stressed the need for maintaining high alertness in security measures and expediting necessary deployments to ensure foolproof security for voters.

The government suspended mobile phone services in the country after the recent incidents of terrorism in the country.
