Hammad Azhar says he will not contest elections
Says he does not want to pursue appeal in SC
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and former minister Hammad Azhar has announced that he will no longer be part of the electoral race.
Azhar’s lawyers made the revelation in the Supreme Court as a bench took up his appeal against a tribunal decision rejecting his nomination papers.
The PTI leader has been in hiding since a crackdown was launched against the party in the aftermath of the violent protests of May 9.
He has already announced that his father, Mian Azhar, will contest elections from NA-129.
