PSX closes bearish as investors opt for profit-taking
The Pakistan Stock Exchange closed on a negative note on Monday as the investors opted for profit-taking on the first trading session of the week, dealers said.
The benchmark KSE-100 Index shed 925.35 points or 1.40% to settle at 65,204.67 levels at the closing of the market.
The KSE-30 Index shed 333.09 points or 1.51% to reach 21,710.75 at the closing of the trading session.
The market opened in a green zone in early trading as the KSE-100 Index gained 200 points and reached 66,335 points. However, investors opted for profit-taking in the latter session which drove the market into negative territory.
