Solangi rebuts charges of releasing PPP co-chairman Zardari’s video clip
Interim Information Minister Murtaza Solangi has rebutted PPP leader Faisal Karim Kundi’s allegations pertaining to an old video clip, which was shown on different TV channels over the past two days.
“Expecting from this that a clip which will be used for political purposes, of which clear purpose is to inflict any harm on PPP and former president Asif Ali Zardari, not just it is not part of personality but it is also the oath of my office,” he said in a video message uploaded on X, formerly known as Twitter.
His clarification came after claims of PPP leader Faisal Karim Kundi who claimed in a TV interview that an old clip of Zardari was released on the orders of the information ministry to television channels.
The clip apparently pertained to Zardari’s interview in December 2022 where he purportedly spoke about the sugar exports.
“Neither I nor my ministry cannot even think about such kind of activity,” Solangi said and added that maybe someone gave incorrect information to the former National Assembly deputy speaker.
He was of the view that Kundi made such comments without due diligence.
Solangi added that he even rejected such claims in his interview with ARY News.
He demanded an apology and retraction of the claims from Kundi or else Solangi and his ministry would take appropriate measures.
