Karachi police have decided to widen the scope of their search for a man caught on tape while trying to assault a woman in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Johar.

The police have come up with a new strategy of arresting men wearing shorts. Around 15 motorcycle mechanics have also been taken into custody.

The police have also prepared a sketch of the person to make the search easier. However, they have not had success so far.

Police have so far questioned 27 men with similar appearance to the suspect and have also questioned men going to gyms in the area.

A total of 600 houses have been searched and footage from 200 CCTV cameras has been viewed. Police have also scanned footage from petrol pumps to find clues.

Videos of a man taking off his shorts and assaulting a woman passing in the street after waiting for her had gone viral on social media.
