Fawad Chaudhry faces indictment for inciting govt employees to mutiny

Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry will be indicted on July 7 in a case pertaining to inciting government employees for mutiny.

Additional Sessions Judge Tahir Abbas Sapra heard the case against the Istehkam-i-Pakistan Party leader in the District and Sessions Court in Islamabad.

The indictment could not be held due to the absence of the former federal minister.

Fawad Chaudhry’s lawyer Faisal Chaudhry said that his client is ill and cannot appear in court, he should be exempted from today’s appearance.

After which the court fixed July 7 as the date for indictment.

There was also a dialogue between Fawad Chaudhry’s lawyer and the judge.

The judge inquired what had happened to Fawad Chaudhry, the lawyer replied that Fawad Chaudhry’s health deteriorated due to the weather.

Judge Tahir Abbas said that Fawad Chaudhry did not get a special shock of heat, if he is indicted, he can take a long leave. “Fawad and you should also take care of your health.”
