Pakistan superstar Shaheen Shah Afridi tied the knot with Ansha, daughter of former cricketer Shahid Afridi, in a nikkah ceremony in Karachi on Friday.

Babar Azam, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shadab Khan, and Squash legend Jahangir Khan were among the guests who attended the ceremony. Former cricket team captain Shahid Afridi’s family and close friends were also in attendance.

He is the fourth Pakistan cricketer this year after Shan Masood, Haris Rauf, and Shadab Khan, to start a new chapter in life.

The Lahore Qalandars captain has already arrived in Karachi with his family members for the Nikah ceremony.

Ansha Afridi is the second-eldest daughter of Shahid Afridi.

A digital invitation card featuring clip art of the couple also surfaced online. However, no one from the two families has verified whether the card is real or fake.

The pacer was engaged to Ansha around two years back and he earlier revealed that it was his wish to marry Afridi’s daughter.

Shahid had addressed such reports in a tweet on March 7, 2021. “Shaheen’s family approached my family for my daughter. Both families are in touch […] matches are made in heaven, if Allah wills this match will be made too.”
