Hareem Shah wants to give casino winnings to flood victims. Any takers?
Tiktoker Hareem Shah finds one way or another to stay in the news. In her latest attempt to stir the pot , the controversial social media star wants to donate winnings from her visit to the casino to Pakistan’s flood victims.
In the three-day old post that was uploaded on Hareem Shah’s social media handles, the camera pans from a roulette wheel to the croupier who is placing chips with Hareem’s husband Bilal Shah saying he has won around 5,000 ringgit.
Please bear in mind that gambling is against the tenets of Islam and Muslims consider proceeds from such activities ‘haram’ or forbidden. Pakistani celebrities have in the past been ostracized for indulging in such acitvities - including ex-cricketer Moin Khan having to publically apologise after images of him at a casino went viral.
However, Hareem seems to have none of those concerns as she announces in the video that the couple would donate the 5,000 ringgit (around PKR 250,000 and not PKR 2.5 million as she claims in the initial video) would be donated to flood relief.
In a separate video, the couple goes off to try other gambling options available at the casino.
Earlier this year Federal Investigative Agency (FIA) launched a money-laundering probe against Hareem Shah. The investigation was launched after she claimed that she had travelled from Pakistan to the United Kingdom with a significant amount of cash.
