Several areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar, Bajaur, and Bara, observed Eid ul-Fitr today with religious fervor. Congregational Eid prayers were offered at various locations, including the Afghan refugee camp on Charsadda Road in Peshawar.

In Bajaur and Bara, residents gathered in mosques and Eidgahs to perform Eid prayers and exchanged greetings. Strict security arrangements were in place, with a heavy police presence deployed outside mosques and Eidgahs to ensure safety.

Many areas in Bara followed Saudi Arabia’s Eid schedule, celebrating the festival a day earlier than the rest of the country. Special prayers were offered for the peace and prosperity of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Awami National Party (ANP) chief Aimal Wali Khan reiterated his stance on observing Eid with the global Muslim community, as done during Ramadan. He extended heartfelt Eid greetings to all Muslims, particularly expressing goodwill towards the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Aimal Wali urged people to celebrate Eid with simplicity, given the current situation, and to avoid large gatherings. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing health and safety, adding that Eid visits to Wali Bagh would not take place this year.
