Coalition govt is contesting Punjab by-polls in unison: Kaira
Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party leader Qamar Zaman Kaira has said the coalition government will contest the Punjab by-polls together.
While addressing a press conference Kaira said they were trying to handle the economy by making tough decisions.
He added no one can be allowed to take chances given the current situation in the country.
“The economy is headed towards betterment.”
Former railway minister, Khawaja Saad Rafique, who was also present at the present conference, said they were grateful for PPP’s support in Punjab by-polls.
“The coalition government has saved the country from going bankrupt.”
He added it would have been an easy decision to enter elections after the no-confidence vote, but former prime minister Imran Khan and his supporters had “set up a circus”.
