ATC grants bail to senior journalist Mohsin Baig
An Anti-terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad has granted bail to senior journalist Mohsin Jamil Baig against the surety bonds worth Rs5 million, Aaj news reported.
Anti-terrorism court judge Muhammad Ali Warraich heard the post-arrest bail of Baig. Latif Khosa appeared in court on behalf of senior journalist Mohsin Baig.
The court reserved judgment on the completion of the arguments of the parties and later granted bail to the senior journalist against the surety bonds worth Rs5 million.
Earlier in February Margalla police had filed two cases against Mohsin Baig after he allegedly attacked Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials who arrived at his residence in Islamabad to arrest him on the complaint of Federal Minister Murad Saeed after he passed “derogatory remarks” about the minister during a TV show..
On Feb 21, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) issued contempt of court notice to Director Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cybercrime Wing Babar Bakht on petitions seeking dismissal of cases against journalist Baig.
