The lack of women at the lunch hosted by Prime Minister Imran Khan in honor of Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates on Thursday didn’t go unnoticed by social media users.

“Where are the women?” asked people on Twitter.

It wasn’t just the lack of female representation on the table that was called out. Twitterati also noticed there was no tech entrepreneurs or innovators – people who could’ve benefitted from meeting Gates – present at lunch.

“I love the women representation in this luncheon,” said one user sarcastically.

People called for more women representation in state matters.

The lack of inclusivity wasn’t the only thing wrong with the picture posted by the PMO’s Twitter profile. Many people noticed that the picture had been photoshopped to take out someone sitting by the door.

Writer Bina Shah believes Dr. Anita Zaidi, the President of the Gender Equality Division and Director of Vaccine Development, at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, was photoshopped out of the picture.

Gates had visited Pakistan for a day on Thursday on the "special invitation of the PM," where he held one-on-one meetings with senior government officials.
