Pakistan records lowest daily Covid cases since Jan 12
Pakistan recorded the lowest number of Covid cases since Jan 12 as 2,400 people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, according to the National Command and Operation data published on Friday.
On Jan 12, 2,074 Covid cases were reported across the country.
The country also witnessed a slight drop in Covid positivity rate which now stands at 4.9%.
With 33 deaths on Thursday, the total fatalities of the virus reached 29,950 mark.
Currently, 1,496 people infected with the virus are on critical care.
As the number of Covid cases significantly dropped countrywide, the Covid monitoring centre, NCOC, had extended the non-pharmaceutical interventions to only those cities and districts where the positivity rate was more than 10%.
The country-wide Covid vaccination drive is also in full swing with at least 94 million people have been fully vaccinated against the virus.
