Junaid & Ayesha’s wedding festivities wind up with valima
The week-long wedding festivities of PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz’s son, Junaid Safdar with Ayesha Saif, came to an end with an elegant valima ceremony that took place at the Sharif family’s palatial estate, Jati Umra on Friday.
Like all the previous events, photos of the valima ceremony also surfaced on social media and became talk of the town.
The online chatter was mainly focused on the bride and groom’s clothes.
Junaid was seen wearing a brown sherwani studded with gold buttons by top Pakistani designer Faraz Manan and his bride, Ayesha looked stunning in a light green and pink dress designed by Menahel and Mehreen.
“Is that a lion we see on the groom’s button?” asked Twitter user Naima Khan.
The groom’s mother, who stole the show with her ensembles in every wedding event, opted for a dark blue velvet dress for the valima. She was photographed posing with Hamza Shehbaz.
Leader of opposition in National Assembly and Maryam Nawaz’s uncle Shehbaz Sharif also attended the valima ceremony.
According to attendees it was a “very well organised” and “beautiful” function.
Twitter user went gaga over an “adorable” exchange between the bride and groom.
Junaid had tied the knot with Ayesha Saif in a Nikkah ceremony on August 22 in London. The wedding took place in Pakistan with several grand functions.
