Pakistan reports more than 3,000 Covid cases 2nd day in row
Pakistan has reported 3,262 coronavirus cases during the last 24 hours, according to NCOC. It reported 39 deaths in the last 24 hours.
This figure of coronavirus cases is down from Monday's figure of 3,752 but it's still above 3,000 for two straight days.
The positivity rate was recorded as 6.6%.
The total number of cases has risen to 1,011,708 and the death toll is 23,087.
Breakdown of deaths and cases reported on July 26:
Sindh: 2,153 cases, 7 deaths Punjab: 457 cases, 20 deaths Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 214 cases, 3 deaths Islamabad: 167 cases, 3 deaths Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 110 cases, 4 deaths Balochistan: 110 cases, 1 death Gilgit-Baltistan: 51 cases, 1 death
Pakistan receives vaccines
A day earlier NCOC also tweeted the number of vaccinations it administered:
On Monday, Pakistan received a second batch of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine and 200,000 doses of the CanSino vaccine too, reported the health ministry.
They said they received 3 million of the Moderna vaccine under the COVAX program, and it is the fifth batch to come under this scheme.
