Jemima slams Maryam's anti-Semitic comments about her sons
The former wife of Prime Minister Imran Khan slammed comments made by Maryam Nawaz wherein she described their sons as "Goldsmith's grandsons."
The PML-N's vice president has been heavily criticized for her remarks which have been described as anti-Semitic.
Jemima Goldsmith responded with a tweet slamming Maryam, saying she left Pakistan in 2004 for these reasons.
Maryam was addressing a rally in Azad Kashmir when she responded to a statement Imran Khan had made earlier about Nawaz Sharif attending a polo match in the UK to watch Maryam's son, Junaid Safdar, play. He said: "The poor should go to jail and the powerful get NROs and go park themselves abroad and watch their grandson’s polo match."
To that, Maryam Nawaz said that she didn't want to bring children into it but then described her son as "Nawaz Sharif’s grandson, not Goldsmith’s. he’s not being raised in the lap of Jews."
Many people took to Twitter to denounce Maryam's tirade.
