COVID-19: Pakistan reports 118 deaths, 5,395 new cases in 24 hours
Pakistan on Thursday has reported 5,395 new cases and 118 COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours.
According to statistics shared by National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), the country's nerve center for unified efforts against coronavirus, 64,685 coronavirus tests were taken, 5,395 came out positive, and 118 deaths were reported countrywide in the last 24 hours.
There are currently 4,276 critical patients of COVID-19 admitted at different hospitals in the country. And reported positivity rate is 8.34%.
With these latest statistics, the country's total number of confirmed active cases stands at 77,294. Pakistan has so far recorded 739,818 confirmed cases, 15,872 deaths, and a total of 646,652 recoveries from the novel disease.
Most active cases are reported in Punjab (41,472) followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (12,998), and Islamabad (12,839). There are currently 6,778, 2,207, 886, and 114 active cases in Sindh, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Balochistan, and Gilgit Baltistan respectively.
