COVID-19: Pakistan reports 10.69% positivity rate, 98 deaths in the last 24 hours

Pakistan on Thursday has reported 5,329 new cases and 98 COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours as the third wave continues.
According to statistics shared by National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), the country's nerve center for unified efforts against coronavirus, 49,816 coronavirus tests were taken, 5,329 came out positive, and 98 deaths were reported countrywide in the last 24 hours.
There are currently 3,942 critical patients of COVID-19 admitted at different hospitals in the country, the highest number of critical patients reported since the pandemic began.
With these latest statistics, the country's total number of confirmed cases stands at 623,399. Pakistan has so far recorded 15,124 coronavirus-related deaths, and a total of 705,517 patients have recovered from the novel disease.
