Pakistan has reported 63 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 13,076 on Thursday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1,519 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours as the number of positive cases has surged to 585,435.

The total count of active cases is 17,117. In the past 24 hours, as many as 987 patients have recovered from the virus in a day and 1,559 patients are still in critical condition.

A total of 40,473 tests were conducted across the country during this period. Overall 555,242 people have recovered from the deadly disease so far while 9,097,413 samples have been tested thus far.
