NAB files case against Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah over 'misuse of power'

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday has filed a corruption case against Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in an accountability court in Islamabad over alleged misuse of power in the province’s energy-related projects, reported local media.

According to the details, the anti-corruption watchdog filed the reference against him for misusing the power in the disbursement of funds for energy-related projects in Sindh.

As per the reference, Murad Ali Shah, Abdul Ghani Majeed, and 15 other persons have embezzled public funds worth billions using Nooriabad Power Company and Sindh Transmission and Dispatch Company.

Murad Ali Shah is also facing separate inquires by the Accountability Bureau over embezzlement in Roshan Sindh Programme and benami accounts cases.
