LAHORE: Sanda police claimed to have arrested a bookmaker and recovered a computer, four PTCL set, three mobile phones and a register used for gambling, during crackdown against bookies.

On a tip-off, SP Iqbal Town Muhammad Iqbal constituted a special police team led by DSP Gulshan Ravi and officials of PS Sanda which conducted a raid at Rajgarh and arrested a bookmaker Nazam involved in gambling during cricket matches.

Police have registered a case against the accused and started investigation.
