Hurriyet Chairman stresses on resumption of Pak-India dialogue process

ISLAMABAD:- Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, urged upon Pakistan and India to resume their dialogue process to settle the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris aspirations in Indian Held Kashmir.

According to KMS,  Farooq in an interview in Srinagar said that the Kashmiris were the main sufferers of the tension between the two countries.

He said that Hurriyet Conference would support the talks process an all possible means. "We want to contribute to the process in a wholesome way," he stated.

The APHC Chairman said that closer relations between Pakistan and India were essential for peace and stability in the south Asian region.

The Mirwaiz criticized the Narendra Modi-led Indian government's Kashmir policy. "New Delhi wants to quarantine the Hurriyet and shrink the space for peaceful resistance," he said.

He pointed out that the BJP wanted to be in power in occupied Kashmir and it was creating polarization to achieve its objectives.
